Last week we welcomed high school students from Ossining High School, Pawling High School, and Yorktown High School for a Classroom to Screening Room Special Event of Science Fair. This documentary follows nine high school students from around the globe as they navigate rivalries, setbacks, and hormones on their journey to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair.
“The movie and entire experience was amazing for the kids and we all had a wonderful time.” - Gillian Rinaldo, Pawling High School Teacher
All the students who attended this special event participate in the Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) and brought with them an exciting array of experience and knowledge. After the screening, the students participated in a lively discussion with a panel made up of their teachers, who all work with WESEF.
“We want to offer our sincere gratitude for inviting us to see Science Fair. It truly brings this experience into the mainstream and certainly a new level of appreciation for the amazing students we have.” - Angelo Piccirillo, Ossining High School Teacher
Every Classroom to Screening Room is an exciting day of viewing and reflecting, but this event was made even more interesting because the students brought with them such valuable insights into the world presented in the film. Watching the students connect with a film in such a personal way was an inspiring experience, truly indicative of the power of film!
