New Course! Film Studies for Adults

By Karolina Manko, Education Assistant 03.09.15

We're excited to announce that this year, alongside our annual Westchester Jewish Film Festival, we'll be offering a brand new film studies course for adults & college-aged students. The course, Films in Focus will dig deeper into the WJFF with screenings of festival films and thought-provoking discussions on topics including Israeli culture, propaganda, and Jewish identity.

The course's roster of educators and speakers includes Theresa Dawson (JBFC Faculty), Karen Sloe Goodman (JBFC Programmer), Carrie Barnhouse (JBFC Associate Programmer), Dean Movshovitz (Director of Film and Media at Israel’s Office for Cultural Affairs in North America), and Yael Reuveny (Documentary filmmaker and director of Farewell, Herr Schwarz.) The course will take place on Tuesday afternoons from Apr 7 - Apr 28, noon-3:00 PM.
