News & Notes for Education Volunteers

By Paige Grand Pré, Education Communications Associate 05.16.17

SAVE THE DATE! The JBFC is pleased to share two upcoming events with our volunteer community:

  • First, we are pleased to announce that our annual volunteer luncheon will take place on Friday, June 9 in the JBFC Theater’s Jane Peck Gallery (on the second floor). All active education and office volunteers are invited to join us for what promises to be a lovely, lively event. Invitations for the reception were sent via Paperless Post to active volunteers’ emails last week, and subsequent RSVPs can be submitted by clicking yes or no on the e-vite. If you did not receive an invitation but have completed at least 5 volunteer hours this year, please let us know and we will be sure to include you!

  • Second, our Summer Volunteer Training for Minds in Motion will take place on Thursday, June 15 from 10:00 am-12:00pm at the Media Arts Lab. This training is required for any new or incoming volunteers, but current and former volunteers are welcome to join us if you feel you need a refresher course. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided. Please note that all new Education volunteers must submit a volunteer application and pass a background check before they can participate in the training.

If you have any questions, concerns, or want to register for our volunteer training, please contact Education Volunteer Coordinator Imani Humphries at

As always, you can visit our Volunteer Page for more information on how to support the JBFC through volunteerism, or catch up on the most recent news and notes for volunteers at our JBFC Volunteer Tumblr.

Thank you as always for your continued support through volunteerism, and we look forward to seeing you this Spring!
