Cross cutting is a film technique that shows two separate actions happening in two places at the same time. In separate rooms have two students participate in a race to tie and untie their shoes 5 times. Have the rest of the class try to view as much as possible of both sides of the race. Afterwards, discuss the effects of viewing a "story" like this. How would you achieve this in the editing room? Post some of your responses here.
